Celine Dion Slams Donald Trump for Unauthorized Use of "My Heart Will Go On"

Breaking News: Singer expresses outrage over Trump's rally performance

Canadian icon demands removal of copyrighted material

WEB WASHINGTON Reuters - Canadian singer Celine Dion has condemned former President Donald Trump for using her iconic Titanic movie theme song, "My Heart Will Go On," at a recent rally in Bozeman, Montana.

"I have never given permission for my song to be used for political purposes," Dion said in a statement released on Saturday. "I understand that the song has been used by different candidates and parties in the past, but I have always made it clear that I do not endorse any particular political party or candidate."

Footage of Trump's rally shows him using a clip of Dion's performance of the song without her permission. The use of copyrighted material has prompted Dion's team to demand the removal of the clip from all platforms.

"I am a proud Canadian and I am deeply offended by the unauthorized use of my music for political purposes," Dion added. "I hope that Mr. Trump will respect my wishes and remove the song from his rally materials immediately."

Dion's statement has drawn widespread support on social media, with many users expressing their outrage over Trump's unauthorized use of her song.
